37. Engine Mapping
Time for mapping.
With the new engine and stand-alone ecu we wanted to go to the best place so headed off to Chris at EFI.
Was very impressed with Chris. Night and day difference with the detail he went to compared to when we had it mapped first time round else where. He worked on it for 5 hours but if it needed longer he’s the sort of guy who would have stayed later until it was done.
Car made 220hp at the flywheel but was mapped down to 159whp for the correct power to weight figure for the race series. But what would really matter is what it made on the championship series dyno.
A great day and both of us very pleased it all went to plan. Next up was Snetterton 5 days later.
