Wossner Forged Piston Set for Renault Megane 225 and R26 with 2.0 Renault F4RT engine

These Wossner pistons are the perfect choice if you are considering tuning your 2.0 litre Renault Megane 225 or R26 engine and are seeking more power. They are forged from 4032 alloy and are therefore able to better withstand the stresses and heat created by pushing the engine past factory limits (vs the cast oem pistons).

Wossner pistons feature a unique moly coating on the skirts and are manufactured from a grade of 4032 Alloy (T6) which allows the engine builder to run a closer piston to bore tolerance then they might do with another make of piston. This helps remove the slapping noise during cold start, common place among engines running forged pistons due to larger than OE bore clearances.

The crowns of these Wossner pistons are also mirror polished to better resist detonation on high performance engines. Mirror polishing allows a more even spread of heat inside the chamber which will help prevent hot spots on piston crowns.

The price shown includes a full set of pistons, piston rings, wrist pins and pin circlips.

These pistons are available to suit a variety of bore sizes and have the manufacturer recommend piston:wall clearance machined into the piston itself.

The compression ratios shown are indicative, and are based upon using a factory head gasket and an otherwise untouched engine. The exact ratio will depend upon the specification of your engine and bore size chosen (specification factors such as head gasket thickness, if head has been skimmed, combustion chambers reworked etc will impact the ratio). The manufacturer specified bowl volume is shown below (which is constant across the available bore sizes) if you wish to calculate the exact compression ratio of your engine.
