Engine Oil Pump - Additional Capacity | Renault Clio 172, 182, 197, 200 | F4R 2.0

This product is a Genuine Renault engine oil pump that was original fitted to a diesel engine produced by Renault. Renault F4R 2.0 engines are commonly known to have low oil pressure issues and this pump can be used in order to alleviate this issue.

The advantage of this pump over the original F4R engine oil pump is that it has a higher capacity and therefore produces more oil flow and higher oil pressure when fitted to the F4R engine. This can improve engine reliability and bearing service life, particularly when used in race/high stress scenarios.

The pump mounting bolt configuration is the same as the F4R engine oil pump and the sprocket has the same number of teeth and diameter, meaning it can be fitted to the Renault F4R engine block using the original oil chain.

IMPORTANT! Fitting this pump does require modification to the sump pan - some areas need grinding away in order to achieve sufficient clearance for the oil pickup. Similarly you will need to fabricate and fit a small bracket in order to secure the plastic windage tray as this pump does not have the same locating tab near the oil pickup as the F4R oil pump. For this reason this alternative pump should only be fitted by an individual with sufficient skill and experience to perform such modification.
