Cat Cams uprated valve spring set for the Renault F4R 2.0 Engine

Supplied as a full set of 16 springs for the Renault F4R 2.0 engine, these springs are recommended when running a higher rev limit, and/or uprating the camshafts to those with a longer duration or higher lift than standard.

They are stiffer than the OEM springs and help retain valve control when pushing the engine outside of the factory limits. This can help prevent valve flutter/bounce, and in extreme cases, piston:valve contact which may seriously damage an engine.

They fit over standard valve seals, and work with the standard valve retainers/collets. Shimming may be required in order to fine tune your desired seat pressure/installed length.

Available in standard form or in an uprated gold finish, where the standard springs are heat treated to provide a finish that is more resistant to fatigue. Please note that the different options have a slightly different specification (see below).
