ARP 2000 Rod bolt set for Renault F4R 2.0 engines.

Set contains 8x M9x1.0mm sized rod bolts and assembly lubricant.

These bolts are stronger, direct replacement, for factory rod bolts and therefore are a like for like fit in the oem connecting rods. We recommended upgrading your rod bolts when tuning the engine to rev higher than the factory red line: the engine geometry of F4R engines means that a lot of stress is placed on the rod bolts at high rpm.

The bolts require a 3/8" 12 point socket to fit and we recommend fitment using the stretch method. ARP's stretch specification for these bolts is 0.0065-0.0070 inches. Please contact us if you need advice.

While 8740 and ARP2000 share similar characteristics – ARP2000 is capable of achieving a clamp load at 220,000 psi. ARP2000 is used widely in short track and drag racing as an up-grade from 8740 chrome moly in both steel and aluminum rods.
